Join The South Bay Wind Ensemble!

The South Bay Music Association is pleased to announce the creation of the South Bay Wind Ensemble, a new opportunity for semi-professional
and dedicated amateur musicians to perform challenging and rewarding music.

Our debut concert this January 2023, will feature music by Leonard Bernstein, Alfred Reed, and David Maslanka. Our biggest need today is talented musicians to fill our ranks.

  • Like a true wind ensemble, all sections will be limited to one player per part.

  • For our first concert, seating will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

  • Playing in South Bay Wind Ensemble is a volunteer position, and is unpaid.

  • SBWE will operate with limited rehearsals, with only four or five leading up to each concert.

  • SWBE will perform two concerts in our inaugural season, and expects to limit concerts to no more than four per year.

  • Rehearsals are expected to take place at North Torrance High School on 182nd St.
